Why Build Your Own Site?
Question: Why build your own site? Wouldn’t it be much easier to pay someone to do it for you?
Answer: While it’s definitely easier to get someone to build it for you, a successful website is one that you update regularly. And your fans would want to hear from you, not that geeky website technician who made your website. Basically, you need to engage with your fans/readers. And yes, you save lots of money as well.
Question: I have a Facebook band page, isn’t that good enough?
Answer: While having a Facebook band page is great, it isn’t enough. You’ll need a website where people can link to continue to read more, listen to more music or even buy. Besides, Facebook has lots of distractions. Your fan could be listening to your track when suddenly his secret love crush came online. Bamm, your page is forgotten.
Question: Shouldn’t I spend more time making music?
Answer: I find myself writing & posting on my website whenever I have a writer’s block. Yes, you certainly should spend time making music but having a website is a rewarding experience. Trust me, you’ll be able to engage & understand your fans so much more which leads you to making music people want to listen to.
Question: I’ve zero basics in website building!
Answer: The workshop is designed to take you from zero to hero! You may be a complete beginner, but I guarantee that you’ll be an expert in building your own website (musician or not) by the end of the workshop.
